Meet the Team

Leanne Corrigan
Leanne offers counselling for adults. She has experience working with individuals in the context of complex family situations, including domestic abuse, trauma, and attachment related difficulties.
She has worked with a range of presenting difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement and grief, relationship difficulties, and low self esteem. She has a particular interest in women’s mental health and has experience working within perinatal services.
Her approach is integrative, drawing on person centred and psychodynamic models, and is informed by her ongoing doctoral training in counselling psychology. Her work focuses on developing a clear understanding of individual experiences, patterns, and relationships, in order to support meaningful and sustainable change.
She works in a structured and collaborative way, providing a consistent and professionally grounded therapeutic space.
She attends regular clinical supervision to support safe, reflective, and ethical practice.
Leanne is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Dr Laura Thomson
Laura is a counselling psychologist registered with the HCPC and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
She has over 25 years’ experience working across NHS, independent, and charitable settings with children, young people, adults, and families. Her work has included a wide range of clinical and specialist roles, with a particular focus on complex presentations, including trauma, attachment difficulties, and domestic abuse.
She has held senior positions within services for children and families and has contributed to teaching, supervision, and training at doctoral level.
Dr Thomson offers therapy, supervision, and consultation. She works with adults, parents, and young people, and provides consultation in relation to children for parents, carers, and professionals.
Her clinical approach is integrative, drawing on a range of psychological models including attachment based and trauma informed approaches, psychotherapy, internal family systems informed work, and cognitive behavioural therapy. Her work is grounded in careful formulation and a considered understanding of individual and family contexts.
She aims to provide a clear, containing, and collaborative therapeutic space, supporting people to make sense of their experiences and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.
